George Strait

George Strait

George strait is no stranger to people who listen to country. they say that out of all the new country singers to emerge in the early '80s, George Strait stayed the closest to traditional country. George strait was born on May 18, 1952, in Poteet, Texas, the son of a junior high school teacher who also owned and operated a ranch that had been in the Strait family for nearly 100 years. When Strait was a child, his mother left the family, taking her daughter but leaving behind her sons with the father. In 1985, he won CMA awards for album of the year Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind and male vocalist. In 1986, he repeated his win as male vocalist, but his year was marked by tragedy when his 13-year-old daughter, Jennifer, was killed in a car wreck. he is one of the best country music in the history of country music. he played in a movie called Pure Country it is a very good.

I think that he is the best. he is awesome. i would love to see him in concert one day. i own the movie Pure Country it is a great movie. if you have not heard of it you need to get it and watch it. once you watch it. he proved that he can be a good actor and a good singer. he is without a doubt the best country music singer in the world. My favorite song that he sings is i cross my heart.

I really respect George Strait. He is what is right with country music. I used to like country music a great deal, but I lost focus with the music due to all of the newer acts getting really rocky. I lost respect for the genre as a whole, because the musicians weren't being true to who they were. George Strait stayed true to who he is. That I respect.

I didn't know that he was in a movie. I agree with you that he is the only person that has stayed to traditional country.

The movie soundtrack was incredible for Pure Country. I used to have it and play it frequently. I love the songs "Heartland" and "Where the Sidewalk Ends." He really isn't much of an actor though.
