The Five Worst Presidents

1. Warren G. Harding-- He was so bad that he had to have his aides explain what the bills were that he had to sign! He didn't understand them! He also mysteriously died. Some people believe that his wife killed him due to the evidence coming out about his mistress.

2. Herbert Hoover-- This man had a plan. He was going to lead America out of its economic funk. He promised a car in every garage and a chicken in every pot. In three years his economic plan pushed America into the Great Depression.

3. Richard Nixon-- This paranoid guy helped Senator McCarthy find Communists that for the most part didn't exist. Later on, he decided that John Lennon was a threat to National Security. His way to improve the situation..... wiring up Elvis to see if he would slip up. He also was the subject of the Watergate Scandal (underhanded real estate deals) and telling the American public that he wasn't a crook. Well, he was.

4. Calvin Coolidge-- This president was a study in scandal. He also had dirty real estate dealings. He was also known for taking two hour naps during the day and asking if the world was still there when he got up.

5. Lyndon Johnson-- Known for having staff meetings in his bathroom as a sign of intimidation, LBJ as he was called was always getting himself in trouble. The infamous picture of him holding a beagle dog up by his ears got him in trouble with animal rights activists. His creation of Welfare helped to harm the job market as people would refuse to work because fo the check they would receive in the mail. The Vietnam War was actually a platform used by LBJ to get himself re-elected after he "regretted to send the flower of American youth into VietNAM."
