Johnny Depp star in this movie based on the book by Bryan Burrough. It's a period crime drama that traces the war between the criminal underbelly of Chicago and the early years of the FBI in the 1930s. It is set to be released 7/01/2009. The director is Micheal Mann, and the genre is drama.
This doesn't really sound like such an interesting movie to me, but maybe I'll check it out. Depending on if the trailer looks good.

I don't know if I buy Johnny Depp as a gangster. He doesn't seem the type. This is probably his attempt at getting an Academy Award, because he has been passed up for Best Actor four times.
I don't know...I will have to see the previews first. The way I'm picturing it it will not end well. When I think of Johnny Depp, gangster does NOT come to mind.
