Denmark is a country in Europe that is divided into three regions. A lot of people don't know this ,but Denmark is the oldest kingdom. This country is a monarchy. The Queen of Denmark is Margrethe the II. Denmark is the smallest of the Scandinavian countries too. Denmark is half the size of Maine. Denmark might be small in size ,but its population as of January 1st of 2007 was 5,447,o84 people. There are over 5.4 million inhabitants and only 1.4% of the total are Danes in Europe. If you were planning to go to Denmark 1 Danish Krone equals 0.211367 American dollars. Also, you will not find any neon signs there. More than likely you will be traveling there by flight and that is fine because there are 92 different airports to choose from. Then again, many people enjoy riding their bicycles around. Bicycles are so popular that there are roads strictly for bicycles.
At one point in time there were several small farms. Modern day farms are much longer. You don't see any small farms now. They really started decreasing small farms in 2004. The agricultural products that they have are: barley, wheat, potatoes, sugar beets, pork, dairy products, and fish. Pork is the most popular product.
Back in 1769, the population was only 797,584 people. In 1837, Denmark's favorite son, Hans Christian Anderson, wrote a short story titled The Little Mermaid. It was widely recogniable to the Disney movie. The people of Denmark decided to show how much they liked the story by having Edvard Eriksen design the sculpture of The Little Mermaid. The Little Mermaid in Denmark looks nothing like the animated version. This is a very popular landmark. The Nazis invaded Denmark in 1940.
If you are into Disney movies such as The Little Mermaid and you really like the movies that have fairy tales with castles, Denmark is the place to go. One of Denmark's tourist attractions are castles such as the Rosenborg Castle.
Castles are not only made out of bricks and stones. They are also made out of Legos. That's right Legos. Denmark's biggest tourist attraction is Legoland. Legoland Billund was the original Legoland. It is located in the center of Denmark's Jutland. There are over 4.5 million Legos that make up the Legoland Theme Park. There are not only things from Denmark in Legoland. The Amalienborg Palace and the Statue of Liberty are at Legoland. The reason Legoland is originally from Denmark is because Legos were invented in Denmark by a Danish carpenter, Ole Kirk Christainsen. The idea of Legos were produced in the 1930's.
The Danes don't only enjoy playing with little plastic blocks ,but they love music. Denmark has many music festivals. They love to celebrate in big ways. One of their music festivals last 2 weeks. In fact, the band Aqua is Danish. Aqua is famous for their "Barbie Girl".
I hope that one day I will be able to tour Denmark. I think that it would be wonderful to visit. The main reason I want to go so badly is because I am part Danish. Supposedly, Danes are relaxed and often humorous people who are well educated and that's exactly what I think I am!!!

Denmark huh? Well it seems pretty interesting. I would like to visit Rosenborg Castle. That seems like a nice place to visit.
we should go there some time? sound good!?
I thought Denmark was really cool until I read that Aqua was Danish. NO, I am still intrigued with the country itself. Wow, the economy is weak there. That's neat about the bicycles. Is that because people can't really afford cars much?
Yeah the castle sounds interesting.
So does the rest of it, though.
denmark sounds like a cool place
i would like to go there some time when i get the money it would be a blast
Honestly I don't think that the price of gas is the reason they are very fond of bicycles. The Danes have been doing it for years. I know prices are higher over there ,but it never erally said.
