Saturday Night Live is generally considered as being the greatest comedy variety show ever. Starting in 1975, SNL creator Lorne Michaels set out to make the ultimate comedy show complete with the ultimate comedians. This setting for the show was chosen to be New York, thus the infamous opening line: "Live from New York....It's Saturday Night!!!"
I love classic Saturday Night Live shows. They are great. Some of the greatest comedians of the modern day era have darkened the sound stage. People such as Eddie Murphy, Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Chris Rock, Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, and Will Ferrell. Since 1975, the show has also seen some of the greatest musical guests while displaying some of the biggest hosts of the day in pop culture. Here are some classic clips.

From what i've seen i hate this show but don't like very many saturday night shows because i think that they are so stupid.
