The Silence Of The Lambs

The movie is based on the book The Silence Of The Lambs by Thomas Harris. The book was published in 1991 and subsequently, the movie was released in the same year. The movie is about an FBI trainee(Jodie Foster) that must seek the help of former doctor turned psychotic cannibal killer Hannibal Lecter, in order to catch serial killer Jame "Buffalo Bill" Gumb(Scott Glen) before he kills his next victim. He has an obsession with moths, and his victims are fat, that way he can starve them and skin them.

I'd like to actually see this movie all the way through for once, and so I shall. I've seen enough, though, to know the basic plot, and I like what I've seen.

This story actually spurred on many copycat killers in St. Louis. Hannibal Lecter is the most fearsome villain of movies.

The trainee remembers a time in her childhood where she lived on a ranch, and she happened to bear witness to slaughter of some lambs, and their screams haunted her until after she caught Buffalo Bill, hence the SILENCE if the lambs.
